How wonderful for this young person to BE HIS CHANGE and then to BE THE CHANGE!
My Dear Friends,
I came across this wonderful video story of a young mans life of torment, he suffered bullying at his middle school after the death of his father, his life was in turmoil and he was in so much pain from endless bouts of mental and physical cruelty.
But one day Josh did something different, he opened a door and became the ‘Doorman’……Please watch this short video story of Josh’s life and I doubt you will be able to keep tears from your eyes.
‘Way to go Josh’…..You are a inspiration to the world 🙂
Namaste with Love

New FREE 21 day meditation again, just in-time for summer vacations
I find that so many people are afraid of meditation, they think they need to sit an be perfectly still, some people think they need to be quite and not have a thought at all and others are just simply afraid of what their brain might think if allowed to slow down. The first thing you should do is NOT judge yourself. Just like the ocean, the waves of thoughts come and go, the key is not getting attached to them, bring yourself back to the moment at hand and take a breath. If you can manage to have a full 60 seconds of pure quite, WELL DONE!
Start with a guided meditation like the one above, then move on from there to a mantra meditation ( repeating an affirmation) with your breath, like SO…. on the inhale and HUMM…. on the exhale… an then some day you’ll find yourself sitting and breathing and escaping into a the gap, if even only for a few moments 😉
enjoy the journey… No Judgement!
If you say, I can’t sit and meditate, then grab a cup of tea or coffee and just have a listen. Allow yourself the 20 minutes or so to be still…. quite….. and open
Oh Happy day! What are you grateful for?

I think in the end, we all just want to be seen, seen as something more than our outer body. For me, that’s what yoga reminds me to do….. to SEE the light in you. To recognize that we are all ONE and we all come from the same one. This is a hard practice to do on a daily minute by minute life. BUT…. if we try, truly try to remember this… then we can and will change and that change will bring about a shift to our world. It begins each day, each minute, it begins now… so… I see you!

My sister-in-law was diagnose with ALS after having it for over a year. The doctors wanted to rule out all other illness before giving her the “label” of ALS. We worked all summer long on Yoga, breath-work and meditation. She tried hard and worked hard to maintain some control over her body. ALS, it robs you of the ability to move, your brain knows what it wants to do, but the nerves wont respond. The life span is 2-5 years, that’s what the doctors tell you and instead of physical therapy, all they want to do is to show you how to live in a wheelchair and use the machines to help you speak. She’s currently out of the country trying a new treatment, I hope the Universe chooses to cure her, I know for sure that if it does, the cure will not be wasted on her.
I never paid ALS much attention till this last year, I just knew it was that disease some baseball player had. It’s becoming more and more popular in our lives, and not for the ice bucket challenge, which I think has brought GREAT awareness to our world, but due to the water shortage in CA, I wont be doing. I see and hear more and more people being diagnosed with it. To do something, to make some kind of change, my yoga friends and I are teaching free Friday night yoga for donations to go to ALS. We’re also walking in the Irvine walk to bring awareness. I know awareness is out there right now, but it’s our way of doing something. Our way of honoring those who cant move. In yoga, you set an intention, and our Friday night intentions are to send healing to those in need. So, if you out there read this, can also send some healing thoughts to those who are battling this disease, it would be much appreciated. And I would love to challenge my fellow Yogies to share the journey of yoga with loving kind donations to their charity of choice.

Peace, joy and good health to you!
Giant Redwoods! Can you say BIG Trees! Although you really need to go hike OFF trail to see these big beauties, this is a good start if you’ve never had the chance before. Nature has her way, it takes a fire to get these giant tress to start the growing process, back in the day, this was nature working her magic of give-and-take. Now with the control of fires in our national forests, these giants just might be harder and harder to find growing. You can still see the burn marks of history and the survival of what the giant’s have lived through. Their bark is soft and feels like a sponge. Most giants have an inside cave like room from the fires of history or several tress coming together to grow in perfect harmony. Don’t get me wrong, I never want to see fire destroying our trees, but Nature did have her reasons and I guess still does. Everything has a balance in life, we may night like it what’s being given to us, but it did and does have a purpose. Enjoy the View and have a happy. I managed to do tree poses in the last picture 🙂 Nothing like being in nature, she’s beautiful!
