If you say, I can’t sit and meditate, then grab a cup of tea or coffee and just have a listen. Allow yourself the 20 minutes or so to be still…. quite….. and open
Oh Happy day! What are you grateful for?
Create yourself a vision board and watch the magic of manifestation happen!
I posted this before, but I think it’s a good time to re-post it. As the new year is knocking on our doors, it’s time to reflect on what we want out of 2014 and to let go of what no longer serves us for 2013. I’ll be creating a new board this week and really taking stock of my life and what I want to manifest. The more I dive deeper into my yoga practice, I’m finding my attention is shifting inward, It’ll be interesting to see what my vision board will look like when I’m done.
A vision board is a project created by you to help manifest all you want to have in your life. It’s a place to declare to the Universe that you want your dreams, goals, ideas or martial objects in your time frame in your life.
The creative process in putting together a vision board is very important. When we create it with our hands, when we write it with our fingers, we are declaring it to the Universe in our hands-on vibrations. This is what I want! This is how I want to feel! This is who I wish to be!
A vision board should be placed in a special place in your home where you can look upon it every day. I suggest your bedroom. Sit and look upon your vision board and feel that you have everything you wish to have right that very moment. Have your coffee, tea, or water and breathe in your visions and say, “thank you, thank you Universe”.
• Cut, draw, glue, pictures and sayings from books, magazines, photos; it’s a collage of dreams to come true. Place your goals, your personal achievements that you want to reach, your material objects you what to have, your state of mind you are trying to reach. Place them on your vision board and then release the “attachment” of obsessing over it each day and let it go to the Universe. Then when you sit each day and absorb your creating, put a smile on your face and FEEL the feeling of having already achieved and received all that is on your board.
(When I first began, I used poster board, then canvas board and now I use a bulletin board)
WOW… it is a magical creation. But I will caution you, you might think you want that new car… but when it comes down to actually creating your vision board, you might find your focus on more mind and heart feelings other that material obtainment’s.
I have taught classes on creating a vision board and meditations on finding out what you truthfully want in life, if you would like more help in finding this out, let me know. I’m happy to help. The more positive happy people in life, the more peaceful our world!
Good luck and happy creating! Have a happy Day!

I find that so many people are afraid of the word, Meditation. “I can’t quiet my mind; I can’t sit with my legs crossed for hours on end. I just can’t do it, it’s not for me” I hear this over and over when I talk about meditation. I find that people are either willing to do it, or they’re not. It saddens me because there are tremendous benefits from meditation.
Yes, our brain is the biggest supper computer there is, we have thoughts and thoughts, visions, and visions over 60,000.00 a day. WOW…. Talk about megabytes. Meditation is taking a pause, a break from all the data input and output of the brain. To sit and simply breathe is the first step in meditation. You don’t need to go out and buy anything special. You don’t need any degree or special training to begin.
So what do you gain by spending time in meditation? You gain calm, peace of mind, a new since of awareness, you lower your stress level, calm your nerves, and you rejuvenate your body and your mind, yes…it’s like defragmenting your supper computer of all the junk it’s stored. You are spending time on your breathe and reconnecting it to your body, which in turn reconnects it to your spirit, which in turn reconnects you to the Universal being. LOVE…..you are giving your entire body love.
Simply start and give yourself no time limit, Find a place to sit, in a chair, against a wall, legs crossed, or touching the ground, whatever is most comfortable. If you want music, just make sure it has no words. You don’t want the choir in your brain to be activated and start singing or some distant love song to pop up a hidden romance. I do find it funny what type of thoughts tend to show up when I sit in meditation…..the key is to simply breathe and then sweep that thought away with the breath.
Sit, have your palms facing up and open to connect with the universe or facing down upon your thighs to connect deeper within yourself. Shoulders are always back, head of your shoulders slightly down, and your heart is always open. Breathe in slowly via the nose a few times, while releasing the breath via the nose. Keeping your eyes and mouth closed and you’re tongue resting down. Make the sound of the ocean as you breathe in-and-out, focus on this sound. And simply breathe, taking a deep breathe in, pausing, and exhale, pausing. Feel the rise and fall of your body, bringing all your attention and intentions on the breath, our life giving force our Prana. And as you sink into your breath and your body without realizing it your breathing will become quite. When thoughts come rushing in at you, just breathe them away. If you cry because something has been released, then let it go…… sometimes meditation brings up issues we have not been willing to let go of.
Don’t grade yourself, this is not a test, simply just sit, breathe, and be…. for however long you can be….
Meditation has helped me in my stress levels; it has taught me the art of patience’s, calmness, love, compassion.
My favorite meditation guide is DavidJi and I would recommend his book on “the secrets of meditation” to everyone who has ever been interested in learning to meditate. It’s an easy read that covers just about every form of meditation possible, and it’s written in an easy light format. A must Read. http://www.davidji.com/
Just like trying anything new, it takes practice, please find time in your day to carve out a space for meditation. When you rise in the morning, during your lunch break, when you arrive home from work, or before you go to bed, anything worth doing is worth doing.
Happy meditating and remember Peace in =’s Peace out
It’s one of the easiest ways to raise your spirits and vibration. Notice how you feel when you SMILE. I feel GREAT. Recently I have had an Illness of sorts, and I’ve been catching myself with a “strained” grin on my face. I HATE THAT! I don’t want to be just another strained person going about their day. I have been working on getting to that place where I am consistently living a “mindful life” and being always aware of my present moment, thoughts, words and actions. Being at this point I can “catch” myself when that SMILE fades and stuff happens. I turn that frown upside down and in the midst of “strain” life get’s better. It’s easy to smile.
A smile will set you free. If you have trouble remembering to smile when you go about your day, take a marker and draw a smile on your hand, and when you see it….. SMILE…. watch and feel the vibrations and energy raise inside yourself. The BEST thing about a SMILE, it’s so easy to share. You smile at me and I smile at you and we’ve just put into motion a positive chain reaction.

What I always tell people who say they can not quiet the mind… you don’t need to… Just tune in for the 12-20 minutes and turn off the cell phone, the updates, the rush of your life and listen, be present in the moment. Listen to the lesson with the beautiful music, then sit in quite for a few minutes and then listen to the end prayer. You do NOT need to be any type of religious person for this to change your life.
Remember it’s much easier to complain about our life and it not meeting our demands then to take the time to change. I vote for change 🙂
Peace in =’s Peace out
What’s your Dosha, go here and take your test. Find out if your are a Vata, Pitta, or Kapha body/mind type. If you are stuck in your body size, current state of mind, or just having trouble finding your way, it could be that your Dosha is stuck and not stimulated. Lisa is a wonderful person with a giving heart, she is here to help us connect with our true self. Take the Dosha test, and read about and watch the videos. This could be what you’ve been waiting for.
We are all connected to the Universe, and when we are our Truest self in our truest body, we are living in perfect health. Please take the time to take the quiz and share what Dosha type you are? You might be a combination of all 3. My Dosha is Vata. What’s yours?
Dandelions the weed we love in their last phase of life, we just can’t resist them. To some there just weeds that get spread by the wind to others there endless wishes and possibilities, like blowing out a flame on a candle and wishing for our dreams to come true, these little wishers with there many seed pods carry our thoughts, hopes, and dreams, our wishes out into the world to be planted and to grow.
Yes our thoughts do matter, positive or negative they carry a vibration that like the dandelion seed pod gets planted and spread. The Universe is a magical place and it listens to our thoughts, sees our actions and mimics our vibrations, so next time you see a wisher, blow seeds of positive and you will help have a positive effect on us and our universe.
Close your eyes open your heart and send that love out to the world. Every seed pod is caring that love, and what you send out… you bless yourself with also.
Wishing you a dandelion to pick to day
Life is such a gift. To create love for each-other is our greatest gift to the world and what we give, we receive. 2013 is the perfect time to change our mind-set. Start by simply being Love. Give what’s free, a smile, kind word, hug, time, and attention. Creating positive vibrations for each-other and our world only creates more positive vibrations.
If you were to sit and witness someone being kind to another person, it would create in you feelings of joy, compassion and kindness. It would make YOU feel good and inspire you to act in positive ways. If you were to sit and witness hate, someone being cruel to another person, someone using profane words and violence. It would make you feel heavy and sad, you would become depressed and sluggish, you would feel toxic and the chances that you would then react negativity would increase.
How we act and react has a huge impact on our world. If we can remember to be ever mindful of how we act and chose the positive side, we would have a huge impact on bringing about positive change in our world. One person CAN make a difference, just like the ripple in the pound, your positive vibrations will change the world.
“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” – Anne Frank
