Meditation Free…
Well, it’s pretty sad that I’ve been gone for so long I forgot my password…
Hope all are well and HAPPY!
New FREE 21 day meditation again, just in-time for summer vacations
I find that so many people are afraid of meditation, they think they need to sit an be perfectly still, some people think they need to be quite and not have a thought at all and others are just simply afraid of what their brain might think if allowed to slow down. The first thing you should do is NOT judge yourself. Just like the ocean, the waves of thoughts come and go, the key is not getting attached to them, bring yourself back to the moment at hand and take a breath. If you can manage to have a full 60 seconds of pure quite, WELL DONE!
Start with a guided meditation like the one above, then move on from there to a mantra meditation ( repeating an affirmation) with your breath, like SO…. on the inhale and HUMM…. on the exhale… an then some day you’ll find yourself sitting and breathing and escaping into a the gap, if even only for a few moments 😉
enjoy the journey… No Judgement!

Stop the Addiction
I sit in my car down at the plaza and just watch, watch people scurrying back- in-forth with their many bags in toe, shopping, buying, more and more stuff. The American Shopper, how much stuff do we really need? I would be lying if I said that that was never me, but it was me, not long ago, I was just like them, scurrying around in the rat race, buying yet another trinket to sit on a shelf to collect dust. It’s only been in the last year or so as I have depended my yoga and meditation practice that I have come to loath shopping, loath stuff, and loath the American, “more” life style. How much do we actually need to live? We need food, clothing, and shelter. When I think about people all around the world that only worry about their next meal, digging thought the city’s trash to find clothing, or sifting water out of a drinking hole to try and get a cup of drinkable water, it makes me sad. I feel sad that so many people have so much when others have so little. But even in the West, we have our poverty, our starving, and our homeless. Even here in the land of plenty, we have people in need. BUT, it’s never too late to wake up and break the addiction of shop, buy, spend, and more… YOU can use that energy to help more, give more, and shop less. Take a look around your home, what do you really need? It’s time to clean house, donate, give, and live the life style of “less is more”…. Less “stuff” equals less clutter in the home and the mind.
Next time you go into town, just sit in your car and watch, observe, listen and ask yourself, how much do we really need? Don’t become a shopping zombie, stop the addiction of shop, buy, spend, and more. And as you deepen your yoga, meditation, and spiritual path, you’ll find yourself needing less and less “stuff” …. And having more and more peace.
A Smile will Set you FREE
It’s one of the easiest ways to raise your spirits and vibration. Notice how you feel when you SMILE. I feel GREAT. Recently I have had an Illness of sorts, and I’ve been catching myself with a “strained” grin on my face. I HATE THAT! I don’t want to be just another strained person going about their day. I have been working on getting to that place where I am consistently living a “mindful life” and being always aware of my present moment, thoughts, words and actions. Being at this point I can “catch” myself when that SMILE fades and stuff happens. I turn that frown upside down and in the midst of “strain” life get’s better. It’s easy to smile.
A smile will set you free. If you have trouble remembering to smile when you go about your day, take a marker and draw a smile on your hand, and when you see it….. SMILE…. watch and feel the vibrations and energy raise inside yourself. The BEST thing about a SMILE, it’s so easy to share. You smile at me and I smile at you and we’ve just put into motion a positive chain reaction.
