Yoga Festival
My favorite singer, Snatam Kaur and I was so lucky to see her live this summer.
I went out of my comfort zone and attended the Mosksha Festival this summer. It was 3 days of music, yoga, and teaching. It was WONDERFUL. I was able to attend 2 days and I loved it. I went by myself ( drove ) out of my comfort zone and held my head up high and had a blast. I highly recommend all yogis to take other types of yoga classes. Everyone has something unique to teach and we should never stop learning. Live out of your comfort zone and you will be so very proud of yourself. If you have never tried yoga, please give it a try. You do not have to be in shape, there is a yoga class for everyone, it’s all about finding the right class. Did you know that every good yoga studio will give you your first class for free. If you do not like the class fit, then find a mentor to help you with your yoga journey.

Nature Speaks
I created this for a “contest”, alas, I did not get in 😦 but that’s Okay. I love to be given a “theme” to create. I love a challenge. This challenge was about Nature and how it speaks. I am in love with trees, even the dead ones. I wanted to create a picture of blending the dead with the mother, the tree that has given it’s all in life but still quietly looks on still keeping it’s beauty, just a different kind now. It’s always hard putting your vision out there and hearing back the, “NO”… but, that’s life and art. Doesn’t matter what type of artist you are, a writer, painter, photographer, quilter, dancer, poet, we’re always subject to someone else’s opinions. The bottom line of an artist is, we create what we like, what moves us, it is an expression of what we see, feel and experience. What we hope, is that others will appreciate it. Sometimes they do and sometimes they do not.
Nature Speaks to me in this way, how does it speak to you?
