Meditation, Free 21 day’s worth!

I think this is the 6th year that the Chopra Center has offered their FREE 21 day meditation challenge. Give it a try! If you say, “I can’t sit for that amount of time ( 10-15 minutes) and be still and meditate”. Then try grabbing a cup of tea, sit and just listen… the voices, the music, and the lessons are just what this world needs. Give it a try, have O expectations and just BE.

Sun and Moon Love Affair

I have always thought of the Sun and Moon to be the greatest love affair. They give and give so we may live a balanced life, often only getting a glimpse of each-other. The sun sending it rays of warmth to heat the planet and the Moon sending is cooling shadow to balance the heat. When you think about it, it’s really quite magical. In yoga, the Sun represents the male side our right side of our body the Moon represents the female side our left side of the body.

Just Breathe

Did you pay attention to your breath today? Make sure you always take time to pay attention. Maybe set your timer on your stove, watch, cell phone, computer. Every hour or so have it ring and when this happens, Say 4, and slow down and breathe.

Breath- in through your nose to a count of 4, hold to a count of 4, exhale to a count of 4, and hold to a count of 4, and do it again 4 times  Try to do it slower each time Let’s breathe together right now………………………………… You just released stress, created more blood cells in your body, energized your mind, and probably stood up a bit straighter and have a smile on your face… don’t you feel better?

My friend leaves sticky dots around her home to reminder her to stop and breathe. I have painted rocks around my home and at work to remind me to breathe. It’s amazing how it catches on too, my students are always telling me to ….breathe….

Together we stay grounded.

Turning your edges into love

 

A friend of mine is having a difficult time in life; she keeps running into corners, it reminds me of a triangle shape, one with yes, sharp edges but when you put them all together, it still equals love.   The triangle may have 3 sharp points, but it’s a positive shape, the three points representing the Holy Trinity.  The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit…. We are all one in the same and when we put our sharp edges together, we can form love and find our way.  Remember, no matter what life gives you, you can bind the lessons together learn and be love.
